  1. I have been offered 2 positions 1 healthcare assistant and 2nd occupational therapy assistant
    Which is better?

  2. DEFINITELY NOT FOR ME!! I've tried it, and… uuhh… no! I lasted maybe a week, and just returned to my previous work field. It definitely takes a certain kind of person to do this job, and I realized right off the bat that I WAS NOT that type of person!!!

  3. I've spend about 2 years being a CNA; one year private in home contract and one in geriatrics. I interview with the local hospital tomorrow for a double position: inpatient care and surgical services. Plus I start nursing school in the fall. Super excited to take this step! ☺

  4. When will nurses start fighting for their CNA's for a livable wage and bonuses? We are always hearing how Instrumental we are to the care team but always get the lowest raises and workload increased when people quit or call in sick.

  5. SOOOoooo i have my EMT and CPR Certification and i just got hired at the hospital to be a nursing assistant im kind of nervous because i was told my EMT cert would be enough for the job but since i didnt go to school for nursing assistant… im wondering if it would be a drastic difference.. also im a nursing student but i haven't completed my clinical rounds yet…

  6. well done. I am taking CNA classes I just had to get BP/Stethoscope and gait belt and under arm thermometer, so we are all in white scrubs and ready for clinical classes. whats next , CPR class and classroom CNA Skills practice.
I have a good feeling about passing the states exam but I can't speak to soon altho I think this career is very interesting and very fast passed job so I think I will do this for 2 or 3 years before becoming an LPN or BSN.
