Pro Complex Gainer By Optimum Nutrition (My Complete No BS Review)

Yo, what’s going on? Troy here, WeightGainNetwork.com. On vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada. I hunted down turns out only store in town. We’ve got Vegas Discount Nutrition. I also find it really funny that they’ve got
the Cupcakery right next to a weight loss and supplement store. So actually just got done reviewing the Pro
Gainer Mass Gaining supplement that I know you guys have probably seen on the show, maybe
been curious to take yourself. I just got done shooting my no BS review in
there. I wanted to show you guys a few things that
I got here on vacation, I’m on vacation in Vegas here for another five days. Not really having the healthiest diet in the
world. Kind of living off of protein bars and cans
of salmon and tuna. I just tried new these oatmeal chocolate chip
Quest bars. I got a bunch of Powercrunch bars. These are actually my new go-to’s. I like these a lot more than Quest bars. I just wanted to try the new flavor. I got my wild berry cream, some peanut butter
cream and my personal favorite, the peanut butter fudge. Then I got a little one pound tub of orange
creamsicle whey isolate. We’ve got some protein chips. And these are amazing. They are some Buff Bake protein cookies. I don’t know if you guys have tried the Lenny
& Larry’s ones. These are actually way better, so if you guys
ever see these, make sure you give them a try. In today’s video, I want to give you guys
my no BS review of Pro Gainer, so let’s check it out. All right guys, we are inside Vegas Discount
Nutrition and they’ve got some crazy mass gainers here if you kind of look around. They have probably the craziest selection
of mass gainers I’ve ever seen. Literally, any kind you could ever dream of. Even a new one I’ve never seen, the Radical
Mass by GAT. I’ll have to review that one at some point
here. And what we’re going to talk about today is
Optimum Nutrition Pro Gainer, so this thing is – if you can’t gain weight after consuming
this giant ten-pound bag, you are doing something wrong. I just want to look in the different flavors
it comes in. We have banana cream pie. We have strawberry cream. It looks like we’ve got double chocolate and
vanilla custard. So pretty good little flavor selection. So let’s take a look here. On the front, 60 grams of protein, 85 grams
of carbs, 24 vitamins and minerals, so pretty good overall. Complexer, 650 calories. So most importantly, let’s take a look here
at the nutrition label. All right guys, I’m just going to go down
the ingredient profile and give you guys my honest opinions on this. So one heaping scoop – there’s actually only
28 servings per container, so that’s pretty surprising figuring this is a ten-pound bag. I’m just going off the prices they have here. I’m at a discount nutrition shop. They have probably the cheapest prices I’ve
ever seen, so I’m assuming if you buy this at a Vitamin Shoppe or a GNC or on Amazon,
it’s going to be a little more expensive. So 70 dollars for 28 servings. So a couple, 2 – 3 dollars a serving, not
too bad. Let’s look at the ingredients here. This is the one thing that I really don’t
like about most mass gainers is the first ingredient is maltodextrin. So you can buy a huge 20-pound tub of maltodextrin
for 15 or 20 dollars. So when I look at this I really just look
at the protein content, so we have 60 grams of protein times 20 servings, so you could
definitely get way more protein in a 25 to 30 dollar two-pound tub of just regular whey
protein. And then just looking at the ingredient profile
. We’ve got protein blend. We’ve got protein isolate concentrate, casein
protein, egg protein, hydrolyzed whey. It’s got glutamine. It’s got some healthy fats. It’s got some MCTs. I’m not a huge fan of sunflower oil. And definitely not a fan of partially hydrolyzed
guar gum. It’s got natural and artificial flavors. A vitamin and mineral blend. You see all these vitamins and minerals down
here, pretty much synthetic vitamins are added to it. It’s got your zinc, your magnesium. It’s got some biotin. Sucralose, another artificial sweeter. Acesulfame potassium, some lactase. Overall, I would rate this like a C plus,
out of the kindness of my heart, just because I have some added glutamine. It does have a lot of protein. It’s got almost 1,800 grams of protein in
the entire bag here, but it is 70 dollars, so if you guys want to just pick up, like
I said in other videos, a big tub of maltodextrin powder and a tub of protein, you’re actually
going to save a lot of money. Here’s what I’m talking about. This is Carbo Gain, 25 dollars for 8 pounds
of Carbo Gain. This is just pure maltodextrin, the ingredient
that’s in all the different mass gainers. So what I would recommend doing is just buying
this for 25 dollars, get 8 pounds of it and then buying a big tub like this lime Combat
Powder, 49 bucks, so usually between like 45 and 50 dollars and then you get almost
5 pounds of pure protein, so 52 servings, 25 grams of protein per serving. All right guys, so this is the best mass gainer
right here. I’m actually at this crazy place, before I
show you my food, crazy place in Las Vegas called Protein House. It kind of caters towards bodybuilders and
fitness people. They’ve got a pretty insane menu if you guys
ever are in Las Vegas, make sure you check it out. We’ve got a Thai Monster bowl, so this is
a half pound of sirloin steak, a half pound of grilled chicken breast, whole wheat pasta,
asparagus, broccoli and green onions. We’ve got kind of a healthy version of a Thai
peanut sauce. You guys want to bulk up and gain weight,
build muscle mass, stick with whole food options like this. This is going to get you a lot farther than
any mass gainer. Anyways guys, I’m off to the Venetian tomorrow. Definitely going to show you guys some footage
from there. I hope you guys enjoyed the video.

Honest review – Strawberry is un drinkable , mixes well , and it took 3 weeks for the product to kick in (i was throwing 5 meals a day) , i gained weight about 4.4KG in a month ,not much muscle mass tho . bottom line is it's not worth the huge price tag, Protein powder is the way to go , or what my body reacts to.

  6. This is old but my dad is actually a doctor and he bitched me out pretty good when he saw my tub of carbo gain you recommended in this video. I don’t know all the specifics but carbo gain gets its ingredients by extracting it from corn which my dad said is high is some type of omega that is a huge carcinogen
