And this can have a huge impact on our sleep cycles. I’m here to provide you three easy tips to help you get a goodnight sleep. Tip number one, keep your bedtime consistent. During the summer, It can be tempting to stay out late. Which means we might sleep in more often and while it’s normal for our schedules to change a bit. Making a habit out of this can really impact our sleep patterns. Try to maintain a regular sleep schedule that doesn’t change too much. Tip number two, reduce your screen time before bed. The blue light that screens give off can trick your brain into thinking it’s still daytime. Try not to look at your laptop or smartphone at least one or two hours Before bed means you’re less likely to have trouble falling asleep tip number three Try not to consume alcohol or caffeine later in the day. Consuming caffeinated beverages in the afternoon or evening can reduce your ability to get a full night’s sleep. And while alcohol might initially make you feel more sleepy, it can disrupt your deep sleep cycle. Meaning you probably won’t feel very well-rested in the morning. So, to recap, have a consistent bedtime, try not to look at your phone or laptop before bed, and try not to consume alcohol or caffeine too close to your bedtime.
